Tate Liverpool
is the home of the National Collection of Modern Art in the North of
England and the largest gallery of modern and contemporary art outside
London. Tate Liverpool is housed in a beautiful converted warehouse that
is part of the historic Albert Dock.The art shown is by twentieth century
artists and is always interesting and thought provoking. The exhibitions
of modern and contemporary art make a unique contribution to the North of
England's artistic vitality and complement Merseyside's celebrated
historic collections. You can always see famous modern classics alongside
the very best in contemporary art.

September - May
Open Tuesday - Sunday 10.00-17.50
Closed Mondays (except Bank Holiday Mondays and 7 September 2009)
June - August
Open Monday - Sunday 10.00-17.50
Closed on Good Friday and 24-26 December
Entry is free except for major exhibitions
Late at Tate
Late at Tate offers special events, music, food, drink and of
course the best modern and contemporary art. Check Tate Liverpool's

Admission
Admission to Tate Collection at Tate Liverpool is free.
Admission to special exhibitions are published on the exhibition pages of
the Tate Liverpool website.
Tate Cafe
The Tate Café is now open following a major refurbishment. It
is bigger and brighter with a tasty contemporary menu, making it an ideal
location for lunch.
Tate Café is open the same hours as the gallery - see above. With
a seated capacity of 120, this stylish venue, enhanced by state of the art
lighting and designer furniture is one of a range of corporate facilities

Book Shop
The Tate Book shop is located on the ground floor next to the
café and contains a large collection of contemporary art books, Tate
souvenirs etc.
