The best views of the famous Liverpool
waterfront are to be had from the Wirral side of the River Mersey, but the
most fun is to be had from exploring it close up. Albert Dock is a hugely
successful renovation project that gives a real flavour of maritime
Liverpool. In between the atmospheric locks and original dockland
features, the large warehouses now provide space for Tate Liverpool, the
Merseyside Maritime Museum, the Beatles Story and the former TV studios
for Richard and Judy’s This Morning (remember the floating weather map?).
The buildings also host stylish residential apartments and numerous
exceptionally trendy bars and restaurants
