Lark Lane
Advice, Welfare Rights and Counselling Centre was founded in 1993 by members
of SMLLCA in reaction to the unsatisfied demands of the local poor, needy
and disabled. |
| |
|
| The agency is
split into two sections. The agency is run by volunteers and funded by
charitable donations, of which all money goes towards running costs. |
| |
|
The advice section is currently run by three fully
trained volunteers and provides help and advice on:
- Welfare Benefits and Credits
- Debt Advice
- General advice on Housing, Neighbour Disputes, etc.
- Benefits for the Sick and Disabled
|
| Last year the
advice section saw approximately 3,000 clients. |
| |
|
| The counselling
section is temporarily closed as there are no trained volunteers but we hope
to change this situation in the near future. |
