Further
information about the centre.
The Maybrick
Information Centre centre features a cell in which Florence Maybrick
was briefly held in 1889. Here you can view a collection of Maybrick-related
items including press cuttings, photographs, police log books and
original documents. There is also a small collection of original
police and jail equipment, including helmets, shackles and World
War Two gas masks.
The cell itself
has recently been renovated to it's original state, after recieving
a grant from the National Lottery's Heritage Fund.
In February 2010 the centre was opened by local historian Chris
Jones, who gave a talk and presented a slide show about the Maybrick
case.
The centre is now open to the public.
