| Barosaurus could defend itself by rising
up onto its hind legs and raising its long neck into the air. The great
strain meant that it could not have remained up right for long due, but this
towering sight would have frightened off most predators. |

By lowing though the air vents in its crested head, the Corythosaurus could omit loud honking noises, believed to be a means of communicating with others. This theory is supported by the fact that the dinosaur had a highly developed hearing system. |
